NTSB Studying Black Boxes From Southwest Airlines Aircraft at La Guardia Jul 23rd 2013, 17:16
The National Transportation Safety Board has retrieved the black boxes from a Southwest Airlines flight which suffered a collapse of its nose gear on touchdown yesterday at La Guardia Airport.
The Boeing 737’s two “black box” recorders have been brought to Washington, D.C. and are being studied now by NTSB investigators.
The accident occurred at about 5:00 p.m. on July 22. Three flight crew members and five passengers suffered injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatments and released. Flight delays at La Guardia continued into Tuesday, but were lengthened by stormy local weather.
